Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information RapidSkill ("RapidSkill", "we", "us") collects when you use rapidskill.in and the services offered through it, how that information is used, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using the platform you agree to the handling of information described here. Please also read our Terms of Service.

We collect the following kinds of information:

• Account details you give us when you sign up: your name, email address, password and the type of account you choose.
• Profile details you choose to add: phone number, location, date of birth, gender, a short bio, a profile picture, education, work experience, skills, professional links, career preferences and a resume.
• Activity on the platform: courses you enrol in, lessons you complete, certificates issued to you, jobs you apply for, AI requests you submit, credits you use and notifications sent to you.
• Payment records for purchases you make, as described in section 6.
• Technical information: your IP address and browser details (user agent) are recorded when you sign in and for security-related events, and our web servers keep standard request logs.

We use the information we collect to:

• create and manage your account and keep you signed in;
• provide courses, track your learning progress and issue certificates;
• process payments and keep a record of your purchases and credits;
• submit and manage your job applications;
• generate the AI output you request;
• send service emails such as password reset messages, and in-app notifications;
• protect accounts and the platform against misuse, and investigate problems;
• maintain and improve the platform.

We do not sell your personal information.

Your password is stored only as a cryptographic hash, never in plain text. When you sign in we create a session and record the time, IP address and browser details associated with it, so that sessions can be managed and suspicious activity can be detected.

If you ask to reset your password, we email a single-use link to your registered address. The link expires after a limited time.

We keep a record of the courses you are enrolled in, the lessons you have completed, your overall progress and any certificates issued to you. This is what lets you resume where you left off and lets us show your progress on your dashboard.

Certificates carry a certificate number. Someone who has that number can use it to confirm that the certificate is genuine.

Payments are processed by Cashfree Payments. To create a payment, we share your name, email address, phone number and the order amount with Cashfree. Your card, UPI or bank details are entered on Cashfree's checkout and are not stored by RapidSkill.

We keep a record of each order: what was purchased, the amount and currency, the payment status, the payment reference and the time of payment. We also keep a history of credits added to and used from your account.

When you apply for a job through RapidSkill, we store your application, including the resume you attach and any cover letter you write, along with its status. Applications are reviewed by authorised RapidSkill staff for the purpose of handling the role you applied for.

Some listings link to an external website to apply. Information you submit there is handled by that website under its own privacy policy.

Jobs you save for later are stored in your own browser, not on our servers.

When you use AI features such as AI Notes, the titles, topics and instructions you enter are processed to generate your result, which may involve sending that text to an AI model provider. We store your request, the generated files and usage details so you can access your results later. Please do not include sensitive personal information in AI requests.

Files you upload, such as a profile picture or resume, are stored so they can be shown on your profile and attached to your job applications. You can remove your profile picture and resume from your profile at any time.

RapidSkill uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in. It cannot be read by scripts in the browser and is sent only to our sign-in service.

We also use your browser's local storage for a few preferences on your own device, such as the jobs you have saved and whether you have dismissed a notice.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.

We share information with third parties only where it is needed to run the platform:

• Cashfree Payments, to process payments.
• An email delivery service, to send account emails such as password resets.
• AI model providers, to generate the output of AI features from the text you submit.
• Hosting and storage providers, which store platform data and uploaded files on our behalf.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect the rights and safety of our users or the platform.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. These include hashing passwords, serving the site over HTTPS, limiting access to private files and video content, and restricting administrative access to authorised staff.

No online service can be completely secure. Use a strong, unique password and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for as long afterwards as is needed to provide the service, meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Sign-in sessions and password reset links expire automatically.

You can review and update most of your information from your profile, and remove your profile picture or resume there. Optional profile fields can be left blank.

You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account. Some records, such as payment records, may need to be kept where the law requires it. The Contact section below explains where to find the available support options.

RapidSkill is not directed at young children. If you are under the age at which you can legally agree to these terms where you live, please use RapidSkill only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information without that consent, let us know through the options in the Contact section below so that it can be addressed.

We may update this policy as the platform changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use RapidSkill after a change means you accept the updated policy.
